GO

Lastly but by no means least is Nicholas Di Genova with his company Mediumphobic. All though he is a illustrator I feel he has a graphic design edge to his work and I just cant help but stare at its delicate lines and cleverly thought out colors.

I am infatuated.

Thank you MP.

LETS TALK

..on my sofa.

Some of my personal work.

YOU

This is the fourth company I wish would have me as their apprentice. This company I found out about more recently and is Oh Yeah Studio.

I think within all of their work a combination of abstract and geometrical shapes merged with hand-drawn illustrations including a palette with few colors is a winning arrangement.

Thank you OYS.

SAN

The third company I would do anything to work for is The Small Stakes. Jason Munn is the man in power of this operation and I absolutely love what, who, and why he works. " Arising from a love of independent music, design, and making for the sake of making, his posters soon became a fixture in the local independent music scene." I think this is most childhood designer's dreams, and was most definitely mine.

Thank you SS.

NI

The second graphic design company I am besotted by is Vault 49. Based in New York, I think they design quite innovative design projects. Their work tends to be quite sleek and modern. Generally using the digital camera, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrater having a colorful but restricted color palette, their work is truly beautiful.

Thank you V49.

ICHI

This is the first of 5 posts I will be putting up. These posts will show which company I would want to have work experience / internship / a job within and why, including some imagery of course!

The first graphic design company is I Love Dust. I have had an obsession with this company for many years now. I think the reason is because there isn't one piece of work that they have produced that has not been inventive, interesting, shallow and that I have not liked!

Thank you ILD.

NOSTALGIA AND MOURNING

I had the rare opportunity of having some spare cash the other week, so I invested in a book. This in my opinion is not just any book, it is well thought out, extremely interesting, a graphical pleasure and a book like I will try to make... one day. This book is called It's Nice That and is the fourth edition.

There was one photographer that particularly caught my eye.

"We generally make images with a fantastic atmosphere" say the Japanese collective NAM. I think they have hit the nail on the head, atmosphere. It is like they have captured a hectic scene and have frozen it in mid-motion. I can only hope that one day I will be working with such talented artists.

Thank you It's Nice That and NAM.
