QUAINT

Pepper street.

I found these houses near the borough in London. They seem a world away from the city.

OLD ARRIVAL

Today I visited the travel for London museum at Acton town for a special exhibition. I was excited to not only see how the identity for London's travel system has changed through the ages but how they have transferred this iconic identity over so many different formats.

Slightly confusing signs.

Travel for London International!

Good old fashion hierarchy.

Of course this was not strictly a educational visit as I had the chance to have a tour on the first EVER route master bus and be a conductor.

Thank you TFL.

I LOVE YOU

In keeping with my growing love, fascination and want for type. This project is not only fun and inspirational but its message to both the people and the town itself is wonderful

Thank you MA.

3 IS A CROWD

I have sent off a 28 page book to be printed for a project at London College of Communication. The book has taught me about social media, creating beautiful and complicated work with longevity out of something almost useless. I learned about print options and requirements and had a lot of fun whilst doing so. Once I have received the book I shall put pictures up. Meanwhile here are some snippets, enjoy.

PHEW

Exhausted typography.

I created this typeface based on the word "Exhaust." I made myself physically exhausted by running around a track and writing each letter as I went along. I then made the letters themselves the negative space. I used fine glass and spray paint to get the texture and exhausted feel. The look also reflects fumes from an exhaust pipe.

UP AND DOWN

I visited the royal collage of arts today to do go to a exhibition called open books. I went to this exhibition not only for my fascination in books, zines and typography but also to listen to 3 speakers from werkplaats typografie. I heard about werkplaats typografie at the start of September and have a keen ambition to become a student of theirs. So this felt like a great opportunity to learn some of their methods and values they undertake.

Thank you RCA.
